A Letter from Dr. Peter
Dear Westwood Family Chiropractic Family,
It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly two years since Dr. Patti and I shared the news that we would be leaving Westwood Family Chiropractic to dedicate our energy, knowledge, and experience to the next generation of chiropractors.
In January 2024, I stepped into the role of Vice President at Life Chiropractic College West, and this past July, I was deeply honored to be appointed as the fourth President of the College. It’s been a wild and wonderful ride—one that’s allowing me to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and on the future of chiropractic education itself.
Leaving Westwood Family Chiropractic remains one of the hardest things Dr. Patti and I have ever done. There wasn’t a single thing we didn’t love—the incredible patients, our extraordinary team, the warmth of the office, our home, friends, family, and colleagues. And yet, even with all that love, I know this was the right decision.
This transition was only possible with the talent and heart of Dr. Katherine and Dr. John and with the support of Paula, Corrine and Lauren. They have all carried forward the mission of Westwood Family Chiropractic with grace and excellence. I could never have taken this leap without the steadfast support and love of Dr. Patti—she is a huge part of my success.
Serving as President of Life West gives me a unique opportunity to influence not only the education of our students but the direction of the profession itself. The world is in great need of healing. Beyond mastering the art of the chiropractic adjustment, our graduates must embody compassion, trust, and genuine care. In a time when so much of health care has become about business, I want to help ensure that the heart of care remains at the center.
People often ask if we like California. The Bay Area is beautiful—the landscape, the weather, the ocean views. But I’ll admit, I’m still an East Coast boy at heart and always will be.
Life is certainly different now. My schedule is fuller—five days a week instead of three, with days that begin at 6 a.m. and often end around 6 p.m.—and my travel has expanded to include meetings and events across North America and occasionally Europe. I’m using a whole new part of my brain, which is probably a good thing for someone in their sixties!
The team, Dr. Patti and I would love to celebrate this new chapter with you. Please join us on Saturday, November 22, at Beacon’s Restaurant to reconnect, reminisce, and toast to the journey ahead.
We miss you all immensely. Westwood Family Chiropractic will always be our “magic kingdom.” Thank you for being such an important part of our lives and for continuing to support us as we follow this new calling.
With love and gratitude,
Dr. Peter
Let us know if you can make it on Saturday, November 22nd!
