Fatigue & Chiropractic

Frequently this time of year we feel groggy, fatigued, and notice ourselves reaching for that extra cup of coffee. Fatigue can be a symptom of many things: adrenal stress, lack of restful sleep, high levels of stress in our daily lives among a multitude of other factors. It comes as no surprise that many of us feel fatigue and, boy, doesn’t it make it hard to get out of bed some mornings? Who wants to feel that way? That’s
right, no one! So, what can we do to help our sleepy selves?

Alongside making sure we’re getting enough exercise and eating plenty of nutrient dense foods, we can get regular chiropractic adjustments. How can a chiropractic adjustment help us feel less exhausted? Great question!

As we know our body and our brain communicate through nerve impulses, or nerve energy. These nerve impulses act as messages from the brain that are carried through the spinal cord and the spinal nerves to tell our organs, muscles, and glands what to do and vice versa. We need this healthy and unimpeded communication to make sure our body is keeping our ‘stress hormones’ in check and allowing us to properly rest at night. Regular chiropractic adjustments make sure that any impediments, called subluxations, in the spine are removed causing a healthy flow of nerve energy through the body which supports us in staying rested, calm and happy.
